Bible verses about encouragement are so important. As we go through hard times in life it is easy to feel overwhelmed. God has given us many encouraging scriptures to help us through those times. Even though the verses He gives us to encourage us don't change our situation they can help us change the way we see the problems we are going through. No matter what you are going through or what problems you are having you will find some helpful passages to get you through.
It is also important to remember that sometimes God calls us to be the one to help others through their tough times. Try to pay attention to what God might be asking you to do. If you are being asked to help someone with what they are dealing with then keep these verses in mind. Below you will find 10 verses. I'll list 5 popular passages, then 5 of my favorite encouragement passages.
Deuteronomy 31:6 "Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the LORD your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you.” Read a devotional for this verse>>>
Psalm 23:4 "Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me."
Proverbs 12:25 "Anxiety in a man's heart weighs it down, but an encouraging word makes it glad."
Psalm 86:7 "In the day of my trouble I will call on You, for You will answer me."
John 16:33 "These things I have spoken to you, so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world."
2 Timothy 1:7 "For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline."
Philipians 4:19 "And my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus."
Isaiah 41:10 "So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand."
Psalm 119:71 "It was good for me to be afflicted so that I might learn your decrees."
Romans 8:28 "And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love Him, to enable them to fulfill the purpose for which they are called."
There are many more Bible verses about encouragement in the Bible, but these are some of the ones that have meant the most to me with everything that I have struggled with. I encourage you to read through these passages slowly and think about what God is telling you through them. God knew that we would have trouble in this world. He has prepared us for that through what He has written in the Bible.
